To plan a wedding, you have to make approximately 3,479 decisions (just a guess). Venues: indoor or outdoor? What city do you get married in? His? Hers? Neither? What kind of flowers do you want? Bouquets? Table Runners? What kind of invitations? Do you have to invite your Nana’s third cousin or that weird neighbor kid you haven’t seen in 10 years?
To attend the wedding you really only have to:
1. Get invited (and even that one’s a bit optional these days-Wedding Crashers anyone?)
2. Get a gift, which is super easy since you just have to pick whatever’s in your price range off of their registry
3. Pick a date
4. Figure out what to wear
Steps one and two are pretty darn easy. Number 3 I’ll leave for another day. Step 4 can be tricky, but it’s your lucky day, becauseI’ve already done the research and rounded up tons of great options for you!
While I love looking through pretty dresses, I try not to do it unless I’ve got an event coming up. Lucky for all of you Fall wedding attendees, one of my oldest friends (we’ve been besties since third grade= 19 years?!?!) is getting married this October!
I found shopping for this particular wedding to be a little tricky, because it’s an outdoor venue in October on Martha’s Vineyard, so the weather could be anywhere from 45-75°. I found a couple of great maxi dresses that would pair well with my favorite suede jacket to make sure I’m both fashionable and comfortable.
I love the elegance of this champagne number. You can find it here
I am very particular about prints, but I love the print on this one! Find it here
When picking a dress, I think the most important things to consider are the type of venue, level of formality, and the temperature.
I’ve rounded up some options I think are great for this fall.
I even figured out how to link the pictures to their sites so all you have to do is click to shop! (If you don’t already, you will soon come to know how technologically challenged I am)
