Workwear Wednesday- Valentine’s Edition

Happy Wednesday Day Friends!

Today we’re talking about where and when to find great deals on work wear, because let’s face it: cute quality workwear is tough to find for a girl on a budget. Today we’re just going to get into two of my favorite places to shop for pieces for work, but we’ll be back on this topic next week, sharing a few more brands and tips, so be sure to head back this way next Wednesday!

I have to admit, I’m a little bit obsessed with this look.

I immediately fell in love with the bow detailing on this skirt! It’s perfectly professional, but with just a dash of sweetness and fun. I paired it with this hibiscus colored top for a pop of pink for Valentine’s Day, but you could easily pair this skirt with any color and add a blazer for a more formal setting. It would also look great with a turtleneck or more form fitting sweater if it’s still pretty chilly where you are!

*This skirt has been going on and off sale periodically, so if you check and it’s full price, just know that it may go back on sale shortly.

Now, JCrew has long been one of my favorite stores for good reason. They always have such high quality and timelessly classic pieces. The only thing I’m not a fan of are their prices. HOWEVER, there are still some great ways to get your hands on these beauties:

1. Sales

J Crew has high prices, but awesome sales. I’m talking you can find $70 full price tops for $10 if you play your cards right! I snagged both this top and beautiful bow detailed skirt on major major sale for less than $60 total. One of the tricks is to wait until the change in seasons. They often release the same styles, but in different colors depending on the season. Conveniently work wear styles stay relatively the same from year to year and snagging some basic pieces at the change of the seasons is a great way to slowly build your wardrobe while saving $$.

I also suggest signing up for their emails, since they will randomly (and often as holidays approach) do big sales for only a day or two.

2. JCrew Factory

I LOVE a good outlet/factory store! J Crew Factory is great, because they often carry the exact same pieces J Crew has, but at a serious fraction of the price, and if you add in their sales, you’re golden!

Comment and tell me your favorites places to find work wear!

XO,

Erin
